Litter training chinchillas can be difficult, although some may learn over time. Most will choose a favorite spot in the cage for urination, even if they don’t fully understand the concept. However, since their digestive systems are constantly active, waste can scatter throughout the cage. Healthy droppings are dry and odorless, but urine can lead to odors if not cleaned frequently.
